In 2003, Julie Burleson and Suzy Nettles began developing a superior childrens’ cooking school program that has become THE premier cooking school for kids that has grown to over 100 franchises offering this exciting life enriching program to children and communities in over 24 states and Canada.

Young Chefs Academy has grown over the years, beyond the small kitchen classroom that Julie and Suzy created in their hometown. It now has formed partnerships with names like Disney Pixar's Oscar nominated movie "Ratatouille" and Rachael Ray's exclusive line of children's cooking utensils, and become the place to earn a Scouting Badge or the exclusive Master Chef status.
